Fitness

Personal Training Manager (PTM)

The Works Family Health & Fitness Center is now accepting applications for the position of Personal Training Manager (PTM).  The PTM is responsible for the administration of the personal training department while having the vision to drive the program to its full potential. The Personal Training Manager is responsible for developing systems and implementing processes to assure all clients are being serviced and all personal trainers are developing the skills to grow their businesses.

Responsibilities include all hiring, development, and retention of personal trainers. The PTM must ensure each trainer is qualified, knowledgeable, responsible, and functioning with
the best "quality" control in mind.  The PTM must strive to achieve and maintain the standards of excellence set forth by the Fitness Department, The Works, and Wentworth Douglass Health System.

Work Experience required: A minimum of three year supervisory experience in a Health Club / fitness setting, five years supervisory experience desired.  A minimum of two years of fitness assessment and program development experience, five years desired.

Education and Certifications: College degree in Health, Exercise Science, Physical Education or related field. Should have a current CPR/AED Certification. Must hold a minimum of an NCCA approved Personal Training Certification from a preferred provider (NSCA, ACSM, NASM) or higher. Health Coach or Well Coach Specialty Certifications, Group Fitness Certifications are a plus.


Fitness Consultant

Now hiring Fitness Consultant - looking for an outgoing person to work with integrating new members into our amazing club.  Sales experience required.  Fitness experience and certifications preferred.  Evenings and weekend availability a must. 

 


Fitness Floor Staff 

We are looking for an energetic, people-person, with a passion for fitness.  Responsibilities include engaging our members on the fitness floor and assisting them with equipment set up, modifying exercise programs, answering questions, scheduling appointments, and everything in between!  NCCA recognized fitness certification and/or degree in related field required.

 


Personal Trainers/Fitness Specialists

Now accepting applications for Personal Trainers/Fitness Specialists.  Must be outgoing. Must have NCCA accredited certification (NSCA, NASM, ACE or ACSM) or a bachelors degree in an exercise-related field.


Group Fitness Instructors

Now accepting applications for Aquatic instructors for Monday or Wednesday evenings 7pm. Also occasional class coverage needs for both evening and morning classes.


 

Youth Programs 

Licensed and Non-Licensed

Now accepting applications for Summer Camp Counselors:
Looking for caring, fun, responsible candidates that have experience engaging and supervising children. 
Preferred education will include courses in Childhood Education, Psychology, or recreation management.
