The Works offers a wide variety of Medical Wellness Programs.

Works Rx
As a part of The Works Rx you will receive an initial consultation and exercise prescription for your 60 days along with a full membership to The Works. During this 60 days you will have access to Fitness Specialists throughout the program for guided support and receive a final consultation to assess your progress and formulate an exercise plan for your continuation of exercise. The Works Staff will foster ongoing communication with your PCP throughout.
When we receive a completed physician referral the Medical Wellness Program Coordinator will contact you to schedule your initial consultation.

Arthritis Aquatics
A special, supervised fitness program designed to help you manage your arthritis, reduce joint pain, and improve your quality of life.

Diabetes Exercise Class 
A specially designed and supervised fitness program, designed to help manage diabetes, lower risk of heart disease, and improve quality of life.
Exercise Benefits:

New Moms Exercise Classes 
Prenatal Aquatic Exercise Program
Feel light and buoyant while you exercise in the comfort of the water. Doctor's referral required. You don't have to know how to swim, but you should feel comfortable in the water

Mommy & Me Exercise Class
Get back to your pre-pregnancy weight with the help of The Works expert staff. Please bring your babies to class or utilize our Playhut for the baby and/or older siblings

Exercise Works for Cancer Recovery Program
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital's Rehabilitation Services, Seacoast Cancer Center and The Works Health & Fitness Center are pleased to offer an exercise program for cancer survivors.
Physician referral to the Physical Therapy Department will initiate an assessment for an individualized exercise program. When medically appropriate, patients will be transitioned to a group exercise class at The Works. Patients will receive 3-months in the program free of charge at The Works to assist them in their recovery exercise program. Fitness Specialists at The Works will continue supervision of the exercise program.

- Maintain and increase cardiopulmonary function
- Prevent secondary complications
- Increase independence
- Decrease psychological and social stresses related to the disease process.

Osteoporosis Exercise Program
This program was developed with the combined efforts of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital's Rehabilitation Services and The Works Family Health & Fitness Center as a medical wellness program to help manage or prevent osteoporosis and improve quality of life for Seacoast area women.
Physician referral to the Wentworth-Douglass Physical Therapy Department will initiate an evaluation for the program. When medically appropriate, patients will be transitioned to the group exercise class at The Works. Patients will participate in the 8-week program at The Works to improve strength of muscles and bones, improve balance & posture to manage osteopenia or osteoporosis.
Class Schedule: Tues & Thrs: 1:00pm to 1:45pm A minimum of 5 people required to hold a class Independant programs available when minimums are not met.
