What is Speedball you ask? Speedball is a variation of Queen of the Court that cuts down transition time to maximize contacts with the ball. Players will have the opportunity to play all parts of the game, passing, setting, hitting, serving, defense and blocking. These games create “teachable moments”, where a player rotates out and the coach can fine-tune a technical point that is unique to one player; thus, allowing everyone else to continue to get better while we talk with one.

High School Speedball is for players who have the ability to serve the ball over the net *this is not for players who struggle to serve. Individual Skills should be at least a level 3 (can pass, set and hit the ball with purpose and efficiency). Game play is constant, and players are given the space to play freely, and coach feedback is given to improve their players individual skills.

Welcoming Morgan to the Speedball team! Morgan is a Junior at UNH studying Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in elementary education. A DHS alumni and played volleyball for both DHS and Seacoast Volleyball Club. She has experience in coaching for both basketball and volleyball. Morgan is very excited for this opportunity to be working in the Push Volleyball program where she hopes to build the confidence of young players and expand upon their existing skills so they can excel.

This program is for intermediate to advanced players. MUST be able to serve the ball over the net!
