YOUNG AT HEART

The Works's Young at Heart (YAH) program provides fun and rewarding exercise and social opportunities for our members and people in the local community ages 55 and older.

You choose how often you would like to attend and what activities you would like to participate in.

EXERCISE CLASSES & PERSONAL TRAINING
Young at Heart members can choose to participate in any of the 20 plus group exercise classes we design for our senior members including . . .
- Group warm-up
- Aquatic classes
- Supervised Keiser strength circuit training
- Seated strength classes
- Seated Yoga
- Cardiovascular classes

  • YAH members receive three FREE Personal Training sessions with a certified personal trainer who specializes in senior wellness to ensure safe and effective exercise programming.


SOCIAL HEALTH
The Works fosters the social and emotional aspects of being a member of the health club by providing our YAH members with a variety of social activities including . . .
  • Free coffee and breakfast Monday - Friday in our seating area

  • Two annual field trips

  • Potluck luncheons

  • Monthly birthday celebrations

 

 


 

WELLNESS CONNECTION
The Works schedules multiple educational seminars and health screenings throughout the year from our YAH members including . . .

  • Annual Senior Health and Fitness Day (June)
  • Monthly Blood Pressure Screenings by Wentworth-Douglass Homecare and Hospice.
  • Quarterly Physical Therapy screenings by Rehab 3
  • Lunch Time Q&A lecture series covering a variety of topics that pertain to our older members.
