Exercise Works for
Cancer Recovery Program
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital's Rehabilitation Services, Seacoast Cancer Center and The Works Health & Fitness Center are pleased to offer an exercise program for cancer survivors.
Physician referral to the Physical Therapy Department will initiate an assessment for an individualized exercise program. When medically appropriate, patients will be transitioned to a group exercise class at The Works. Patients will receive 3-months in the program free of charge at The Works to assist them in their recovery exercise program. Fitness Specialists at The Works will continue supervision of the exercise program.

Diabetes Exercise Class
A specially designed and supervised fitness program, designed to help manage diabetes, lower risk of heart disease, and improve quality of life.

Back Care Basics
If you ever had a problem with your back or you would simply like to prevent back problems in the future, then Back Care Basics is for you! Back Care Basics is a special program designed to teach you how to protect your back from injury and pain.
|
You will learn:
- How the spine works
- What factors contribute to an increase in risk for back problems
- A routine of stretching and strengthening exercises to keep your back healthy
- Proper lifting and working techniques to use in everyday activities
|
Class includes 1-˝ hours of lecture, discussion, demonstrations, and active participation led by a qualified personal trainer. Each participant will receive a detailed Back Care Basics manual. This program is not meant to be utilized as a substitute for appropriate medical care nor will it serve as a diagnosis for your back injury.
Cost: $50.00 for non-members; $35.00 for members.
Group sessions are available upon request.
Cost: $35.00/person for non-members; $25.00/person for members.

Corporate Back Care Basics
- A special program designed to teach your employees how to protect their backs from injury and pain
- Will help reduce worker absenteeism, employee health care costs, and worker compensation rates, and will enhance worker productivity and effectiveness.

PRENATAL AQUATIC EXERCISE PROGRAM
Feel light and buoyant while you exercise in the comfort of the water.
Doctor's referral required. You don't have to know how to swim, but you should feel comfortable in the water
