Phase 3 was designed with the safety of our members and staff as our top priority. Social distancing will be ensured in each area by limiting capacity at the facility. You will notice smaller class sizes and fewer people on the fitness floor.

To help with the traffic flow in and out of the club, the NEW Club Capacity Counter is updated in real-time to let you know if there's room for a visit. It's a safe way for you to be able to check the status before heading to the facility! It will be available to view on the website and Member Portal App.

We will also be continuing to require reservations for certain services. The scheduled lanes in the lap pool has been an especially popular offering through Phase 2, and we are pleased to make this available for more areas soon. More details to come next week!

Social distancing is just one part of our rigorous infection prevention plan. We are screening everyone who enters The Works and members are expected to practice frequent hand washing, wear masks in common areas and whenever possible during your workout, and to disinfect equipment before and after use. Please Read our Safe Care Commitment to learn about some of the steps we are taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19. (All members will be asked to read and sign this upon their return. Look for more information soon.)

Update: June 12, 2020

Dear Works Members,

The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed all our lives. We want to thank our wonderful members for their patience and support throughout this unexpected closure.

We are excited to announce that The Works is beginning a phased re-opening of services, following guidance from the state of New Hampshire and with input from our clinical partners at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Our main priority is to ensure the safety of all members and visitors, while returning to our passion – helping you meet your fitness, health, and wellness goals!

Beginning June 22, The Works will begin offering some by-appointment services.

These include:

  • Personal Training appointments
  • Physical & Occupational Therapy through Wentworth-Douglass Rehabilitation Services
  • Wellness Center appointments

Fees for these appointment-based services will be assessed on a one-by-one basis. Please consult with the department you are working with for details.

Beginning July 6, limited group fitness classes will also be available with pre-registration.

These include:

  • Group Exercise
  • Works Cycle Classes
  • Scheduled Lap Pool Lane Swimming
  • Private Swim Instruction (with instructor on the pool deck)

We will let everyone know when the new schedule and registration for these classes and services is available.

Other Service Openings

We continue to prepare new safety protocols, infectious disease prevention parameters, and social distancing guidelines with infection prevention specialists at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.

We are excited by Governor Sununu's new guidance released Thursday afternoon, and we will continue to update you on additional service openings.

We are grateful for your patience as we turn our plans into action.
In the meantime, #keeponmoving

Our virtual group fitness classes – with the instructors you know and love – have been a popular way to stay connected. We also continue to offer you Les Mills on Demand Programming, which is free through June 30. Get started with Les Mills now, right here

Please note, no membership dues will be charged in June or July as we continue to navigate our new normal status. We will share additional details about our member fees and options as more services resume.

Thank you,

The Works and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Leadership Team

We are not quite ready to announce an opening date but will let you know as soon as we are able. Thank you!

What will happen with my membership dues?
